I spent last weekend playing around the north cascades with the intention of getting to washington pass for sunset. spent a little too much time at a waterfall near newhalem, wa and arrived at the pass a half hour too late. we explored the brown marshy lands but didnt get anything great from it. with clear skies in the forecast, made the trip back up on veteran's day in hopes for some night photography with the liberty bell group. about 15 miles to the pass, clouds were obviously going to hinder any night shots..so hoped for a sunset display..5 miles away we starting hitting some snow and knew we'd be in for a treat! wasnt the most spectacular show..but it was incredibly gorgeous out there and the snow covered the brown marsh lands just enough to provide us our personal winter wonderland for the evening.
