view of the seattle skyline from the alaskan way viaduct. the city being framed by old and new, the white tower on the right being the smith tower, completed in 1914 and was the tallest building west of the mississippi river for over 15 years, and on the left, the year old ferris wheel, the newest addition to the skyline. the viaduct is a major aspect of the skyline in views from the opposite side of the harbor. built in 1953, it will soon be erased from the skyline due to earthquake damage and replaced with a 2 mile tunnel under the city. itll be a route that i will dearly miss as in my opinion, holds the best views of the city as you drive by, though i do not recommend stopping on it like i did! seattle, wa aspect ration 16:9
